Yummy Baked Goodness!

I know this is a really random post on my blog, since pretty much all of my posts have to do with fashion and clothing but I just wanted to share with you a delicious invention my friends and I tried out after seeing it on Pinterest (I mostly watched them make this but I definitely contributed by eating!)!

I skipped a few steps but basically, flatten out the bread dough and then spread garlic sauce all over it. Then, cook spaghetti how you normally would, mix the meat sauce, meatballs, and the noodles together and lay it out on the dough like above. Leave about 2-3 inches of bread space on the sides.

Cut mozzarella cheese into cubes and spread out over the spaghetti.

With a knife, cut slits on the space left open 1-1.5 inches apart from each other and start folding the bread in like braids to close up the loaf. Make sure all the spaghetti is trapped inside so it doesn't leak while baking.

When done braiding, it should look like this. Add more garlic sauce, mozzarella and herbs on top.

Bake for about half an hour at 350 degrees. I know, my oven window is kind of dirty.

The finished product should look something like this and taste spectacular!

The recipe we used is here if you want to try to make your own! Good luck!

2012, what up!

Lots of good things happened in 2011, but I'm so excited to see what 2012 will bring! I really hope the world doesn't end.

Some fun things that happened in 2011 (in random order):

*Bought my first car: "Liv," my 2011 Pepper White Mini Cooper (and sadly, that meant selling my 2000 White Honda Accord EX V6... lots of good memories in that car
!)
*The week when Texas got snow: SO MUCH of it. Was stuck in the house for 5 days! It got pretty boring but was definitely something different!
*Texas meets Germany in NYC: siblings and I went to NYC to meet up with cousins from Germany on a random cold weekend and just ate our hearts out!
*LVJ Jersey Shore birthday bash: My 2 April baby friends and my CRAZY AWESOME birthday celebration. Crawfish boil, flip cup of 20+ people, straight partying & fist pumping for 12+ hours! It was pretty legendary, IMHO. That will be pretty hard to top, I must admit.
*First cruise: Group of 40+ friends and I went on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico... 5 days on a boat turned out more fun than it initially sounded!
*Dallas Mavericks won the 2011 championship: We went to some games this season... I don't remember much of it... But at least we won!
*Girls trip to San Francisco and Los Angeles: 8 girls in SF and 10+ girls in LA = SO MUCH FREE ALCOHOL

*2nd trip to NYC in one year: A group of some of my closest friends gather to go to NYC, again, to eat and drink our hearts out. Every night was a drunk night.
*3rd annual Fashion for a Passion: Non profit organization ATG pulls off another amazing event to raise money for the needy in Asia! It's so nice to be a part of such a meaningful organization. Please like us on FB!
*Closed on our first home! My fiance and I, after months of searching, finally found a home that we loved. Some months later, after everything we custom picked was put in and the house was finished, we moved in and now it's officially ours!

*Family reunion in Seattle: My cousin got married and we made a family reunion out of it (as usual). So good to see almost ALL my cousins (on mom's side)! 2 more reunions in 2012 bc there are 2 weddings (and one is mine)! :D
*I got engaged! Now, after 3.5 awesome years together, I can officially say I have a "frikkin' ball n chain" at home and mean it! :-)
*Las Vegas trip: Another series of drinking and partying with close friends and cousins from LA! Never a dull moment!

Ahh, so much writing and no pictures! Let's start off the new year with some fun photos!

Forever 21 top, BCBG bandage skirt, Amrita Singh and Forever 21 bangles, Jessica Simpson studded peeptoe pumps, Forever 21 burgundy bow clutch

I don't know what it is with me and black and/or gold for New Year's Eve in the recent years (last year's, and last last year's, and last last last year's at least). Maybe I'll change it up next time. Cheers to big things for 2012!

A Very Mavvy Christmas!

Check out our Mavs themed Christmas tree! I figured since we won the Championship this year, I'd dedicate my whole tree to them! Congrats again, Dallas Mavericks! We didn't have much time to set up for Christmas or to worry about decorating the tree and such since we were more interested in unpacking, trying to settle in, and furnish the house. I threw on whatever I had that was blue, green or silver and then threw on an old Mavericks Santa hat that I found in my closet and called it a Mavs themed tree. I did have to go out of my way to get those squishy toy basketballs from Party City and make them into ornaments with Christmas ribbon. It didn't really look like a Mavs tree before I had those. Anyway, I'm pretty impressed with it!

As for my Christmas outfit, I really wanted to wear something a little bit cheery. I'm going through my closet and trying to find clothes with tags on them so I can finally take the tags off them. I really need to stop buying things and storing them in my closet... But it's so hard! Anyone else have this problem?

I've decided that this year, one of my resolutions is to not shop as much and buy only what I need or really really really want. (You'd be surprised at how many things I really really really want.) I've got lots of big things to save up for, including a wedding (and the whole 9 yards), furniture, honeymoon, and more vacationing! What are your resolutions for 2012?

Happy 2012, everyone! 2011 flew by way too fast! It's gonna be a good one! :-)

Maybe just a half a drink more...

Theyskens' Theory dress' first appearance out... from my recent Barney's haul! It looks much longer on me than on the model on the website but I think longer makes it okay to wear in the winter-time. Usually, I don't wear things out that I just buy (I don't know why!), but this one made it out just exactly 7 days after the purchase.

This hi-low dress is cool because it's kind of backwards-ish. Usually, the recent trends have been short in the front, long in the back. This one is longer in the front and shorter in the back. And it's super comfy and I think that most people would think that the back is sexay!

More Art

H&M printed silk dress, GAP metallic silver belt, HUE tights, Christian Siriano for Payless booties (also seen here), BCBG MaxAzria necklace (last seen here)

I go to several art events a year, so I like to stock up on art event-worthy outfits. I had this piece laying around for about 2 months and I thought it'd be a fun print to wear out for Artopia. I also decided that since I had that necklace laying around in front of me from the last time I wore it, it would also work with this dress to add some bling. Too bad it was rainy outside and sort of killed my hair a little bit.

Artopia is an annual event that combines art, fashion, food, alcohol and fun into one event. I went with several friends and had an awesome time, even though I didn't drink much! I had had enough the night before and couldn't handle another night of it! Either way, still good times, as usual!

Bishop Arts

Blouse from Saks 5th Avenue, H&M suede/cotton blocked leggings, Luxury Rebel booties (last seen here), Charlotte Russe necklace, 3.1 Phillip Lim 'Edie' bag (seen on celebs here), Rayban sunnies

Took a long drive down to Oak Cliff not too long ago to visit the Bishop Arts District. By long drive, I mean something someplace still in Dallas, but outside my 15 mile radius comfort zone. The area has some small boutiques, consignment stores, and some restaurants. You can find some really strange, but cool things around here. It was my first time and it was a pretty good experience... Just cold outside!

Stocking Stuffer

Urban Outfitters sweater dress, Kelsi Dagger thigh high boots, BCBGMaxAzria jeweled necklace, Banana Republic clutch

The holidays are right around the corner and I should be wearing things that are more festive. Well, I love to wear black. Most of my staple pieces are black. Uhh... you can wear black boots more than any other colored boots, am I right? Still, this doesn't explain why I need 54375619 pairs of black boots... many of which are the same style, length, and material. But HEY. None of them are EXACTLY the same, ok? ;) Anyway, I'm saying this because the ones I'm wearing above are almost identical to another pair I own... same brand, material and length... but slightly different cut and style. I was going to return one, but never got around to it and now, a year or more later, it's too late. Go figure. This is my first time wearing this one and I love it. Super comfy and I think it makes your legs look longer = sexier. Duh! Haha every girl should get a pair of thigh highs. And no, they are NOT the same as over-the-knee boots or knee highs (I still love all my knee highs, too!). You need them all. They're just for different looks! Loving mine and they keep my legs warm, too! Better than wearing pants! :D

And anyone interested in these (worn this once) or the evil twin of these thigh highs (BNIB), let me know! I found them both for a steal and am giving up one for exactly what I paid!
