Last Friday

Theory striped tank, Banana Republic Merino wool cardigan, Abercrombie & Fitch denim, GAP belt, ALDO accessories necklace, bandage patterned tights ordered from Hong Kong, Dolce Vita suede wedge booties, Zara studded drawstring bag, Rayban wayfarer sunnies, Michael Kors ceramic watch

Maroon 5 and Train came in town last Friday for a concert and guess who went??? Yep, yours truly! Ok ok, I only got lawn seats but still. It was so much fun! Adam Levine is probably my favorite "human-being-that-I-don't-personally-know" on the planet! This is my second time seeing M5 in concert and they are still as good as before. Love them!

Ruffles & Studs

BCBGeneration floral tunic/dress with ruffles, Romeo & Juliet Couture studded leggings, Banana Republic Merino wool cardigan, Vince Camuto cut-out booties (last seen here), Gucci 'Joy' Boston bag, Movado watch

I'm not someone who can normally pull off ruffles. I actually think I look pretty ridiculous in ruffles. This tunic/dress had very minimal ruffles so I thought it could maybe work. My mom actually picked out this dress but I thought it wasn't "me" at all, so she convinced me to buy it for my sister. My sister hasn't come into town to claim it yet so I decided to give it a shot on one of my "What do I wear!?" days. It's a few inches shy of it being able to be worn as a dress (even though my mom was convinced it could be), so I paired it with some studded leggings. They were the first ones I pulled out of my drawer and it was 7:30 a.m. so I really didn't care if they were studded or not. It worked out though, I think the studs gave it a nice touch and made the outfit less "mommy-like." I was self conscious because I kept thinking I was dressed too much like a mom.

What do you guys think?

Guilty as charged

Some new things to add to my collection of... things. There's no way I can take photos and post ALL my new things, as all that content could make up a whole catalog or something each week. I just picked and chose a few random things that would maybe appeal to my readers!

Prada Soffiano leather wallet in Ruby. I learned pretty quickly that my Phillip Lim Berry wallet wasn't good for use as a normal wallet. It was more like a wallet clutch. Don't get me wrong- of course I still love it, it just weighs down my Louis Vuitton Berkeley bag... a lot. I finally opted for this simple, classic, elegant look, that I think my Berkeley (and other bags) would appreciate more. Plus, the ruby color matches the inside of my Berkeley!

T3 Colorlock Press. This flatiron is the best out of all the ones I've tried. I went through two CHI flatirons over the past 6 years and finally, the 2nd one broke. I knew the day would come where I'd have to look for a new one. All my friends' CHIs broke so quickly and I felt so lucky that mine lasted that long. I decided I wasn't going to go back to a CHI, and that I wanted something new. I recently got a T3 curler before this straightener, and it was a hit! I bought all the ones left on the shelf (don't ask me why lol)! Since their curler was so good, my friend (who was also jilted by the CHI and on a mission for a new straightener) and I did some research. She ordered this one first so I got to try it out before getting mine. I used it everyday I was in NYC and loved it! You can also use it on wet hair (don't know how healthy this is but it's a nice perk)! We call it the magic stick. :)

BCBG MaxAzria tutu dress. Seriously, I don't know why or what I would ever need this for, but I have this weird, childish obsession with tutus. I didn't know BCBG made tutu dresses like this. I saw it at this "damaged goods" store and had to have it! I didn't see anything wrong with it... Maybe what's wrong with it was that it's a tutu... and people don't really buy BCBG tutus... LOL. It was on major clearance anyway. I hope I'll actually need it for something! Perhaps a theme party coming up? Haha

Also among the list of new things is a Calvin Klein leather jacket, Burberry belt, new tights, jeans, blouses, and just a bunch of stuff! I'm hoping to be able to wear everything soon and post pics! I still have so much stuff from last season that I still want to show off! Ahhh, fall can't come any sooner!

Featherly Love

My cousin's wedding in Seattle was amazing! The view was beautiful and it was so good to have fun with my whole family. The open bar wasn't too bad either! ;)

I had not decided what to wear until the night before my flight, when I started packing. The week was just so busy that I forgot I needed a dress. I didn't any time to go shopping for a new dress so I just took a peek in my closet to see what I hadn't taken out in awhile. I found this perfect BCBG feather skirt dress that I'd actually NEVER WORN before! I got it about a year ago on sale and completely forgot about it!

My feet hurt really bad after a night of fun, photos, eating, drinking and dancing. These are the kind of heels where you look at them and your first thought after, "Wow, they are gorgeous!" is, "Those will be extremely painful." I knew this and still bought them... and wore them. But, I'm proud of myself. I lasted longer than I thought I would in them. The cure is to drink a lot. Cheers!

(The feathers and tassles were a bit much so I decided to go almost accessory-less.)
